They are called Haworthia Fasciata or
Zebra Plant. They are succulents. They're actually really kind of hard and not feathery at all! I <3 them.

are they hard to grow? what kind of light do they need? i always kill my plants i have pretty much given up.

They are really easy to care care of because they don't require that much watering. The soil just has to be moist, then you water again when the soil is dry, about 7-10 days. Bright indirect sunlight works.
